Apostle Sylvester Davis Johnson is an internationally known and much sought after preacher, teacher, singer, musician, and author. He is noted for his humility as a servant of the Lord. Recognized as having a call to nuture, train, and mentor spiritual sons, daughters, and pastors of new as well as established ministries, he has become the Apostolic covering of many. Apostle Johnson was listed as a member in the National Register's Who's Who in Executive and Professionals 2004-2005 Edition.
Voice of Deliverance
He is a "life-member" and serve as the Senior Pastor of the Macedonia Worship Center True Vine Pentecostal Holiness Church of God, Incorporated located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is the Most Apostolic Primate & Establishmentarian of the True Vine Churches of Deliverance International (TVCOD), and serves as the Jurisdictional Presiding Prelate of the Greater Memorial Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of TVCOD. Under his capable leadership, after succeeding his father, the local church has experienced tremendous growth. At the headquarters church, he oversees an Episcopal/Overseer Council and a Pastoral/Ministerial Coalition of Associate and Special Administrative Assistant Pastors, which are further supplemented by numerous "Total-Life" Enrichment Auxiliary Ministries.
Macedonia Worship Center
He has chaired and served on many boards of civic and religious organizations and is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions in the Winston-Salem Triad area and around the country.
He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1964 from North Carolina A & T State University, Greensboro, North Carolina. He also holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Miller University, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Because of his years of experience and exemplary service, the following degrees were conferred: Doctorate of Divinity Degree, Miller University; Doctorate of Living Letters, United Christian College, Brooklyn, New York.
Reared in the home of a Bishop, the late Bishop William Monroe Johnson and Mother Marie Davis Johnson, he recognized the church as his mainstay and was converted at the age of ten (10) years old. The following are highlights of the ministerial accomplishments of Apostle Johnson:
He was united in ministry and marriage to the former Billie Janetta Mason on February 14, 2004 after experiencing 37 prosperous years of marital union with the late Gwendolyn Darnell McQueen Johnson.
